Hello, and welcome to my woodworking site. I am an electrical engineer by trade (semiconductor industry) and an enthusiastic woodworker in my free time. My interest in fine furniture was passed down to me from my mother's side. Her father was a fine box-maker in Austria. While I never knew my grandfather, I grew up in a house filled with furniture that he had crafted.
In my late teens the New Yankee Workshop captured my imagination and with an "I can do that" realization, I wanted to try my hand at building furniture. A table saw and router later, I was off and running. Eventually my desire for "fine pin dovetails" led me down the hand tool path. Today I blend power tools for efficiency with hand tools for fine details.
The journey for knowledge and increased skills continue to challenge and hold my interest. I hope you share my enthusiasm for woodworking and enjoy my web-site.
